GLUSHIEN ELECTRIC REMOTE RESIDENCY

Incorporated in the 1960s, Glushien Electric is a family-owned business based in Massachusetts.
Specializing in residential, commerical, and industrial wiring, Glushien Electric is currently run by
a second generation of contractors.

The third generation became artists.

Linking the trade with the arts, the Glushien Electric Remote Residency fosters new work that
involves electricity, offering production assistance, promotion, and a consequent exhibition.

Mechanics of the residency:
The remote residency doesn't pertain to proximity (i.e. you stay where you are). The residency
does, however, allow for an artist to utilize Glushien Electric for advice, instruction, some supplies,
and any long-distance assistance feasible. Glushien Electric Remote Residency liaises between
the parent company and the artist. After the work is completed, exhibition opportunities are explored.
